Starring Iko Uwais, Arifin Putra, Alex Abad, Oka Antara, Tio Pakusadewo, Julie Estelle, Cecep Arif Rahman, Cok Simbara, Yayan Ruhian, Matsuda Ryuhei, Endo Kenichi, and Kitamura Kazuki, the film features our lead character Rama (Uwais) going undercover and infiltrating the ranks of a ruthless Jakarta crime syndicate in order to protect his family and uncover the corruption in his own police force. The Raid 2: Berandal, the sequel to The Raid, is written and directed by Welsh born filmmaker Gareth Evans who also directed the first film. Hell, this trailer might make you tired after you check it out. He convinces Rama to join his team on behalf of his family (in the meanwhile Rama became father of a son). And if you don't believe me, our own Alex Billington has some praise that shows up in this trailer calling the film "an astonishing work of cinema that defies the limits of action movies." I couldn't agree more. After the events of previous movie, Rama is soon contacted by Lieutenant Bunawar, one of a few honest police officer who tries to set up a secret task force to get rid of the corruption on the Jakarta Police. This flick is about two and a half hours long, and you will be exhausted after watching all of the incredible action and fight sequences.
